## Spreelytics

> Web analytics that traces revenue back to each channel

Spreelytics is a web and product analytics tool that ties payments to the traffic source that earned them. It suits SaaS teams and site owners who want one place for traffic, behaviour and revenue instead of GA4.

### What is Spreelytics?

A single script tag collects traffic, sources and pages. The same event stream feeds funnels, journeys, segments, retention, dashboards and visitor profiles with session timelines. Search Console data can be shown next to traffic, and notifications fire when a sale, sign-up or goal comes in.

Payments from Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy are matched to the channel that brought the visitor, using last-touch or linear attribution. The revenue page shows MRR, ARR, gross and net revenue, refunds, first payments against renewals, and revenue per product, customer and visitor. Session replay on the Growth plan records real visits with events listed beside them, and masks form input. An AI assistant answers questions in plain English, and an MCP server lets coding tools build goals, funnels, reports and dashboards. Heatmaps, feature flags, experiments and self-hosting are not offered.

### Who is Spreelytics for?

Suited to SaaS founders, marketers and small teams moving off GA4, Mixpanel or Amplitude who want to see which channels bring in paying customers. It fits teams that use Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy. It does not suit those who need heatmaps, feature flags, A/B experiments or a self-hosted install.

### Highlights

- Revenue from Stripe, Paddle, Polar and Lemon Squeezy credited to the source channel
- Last-touch or linear attribution with a 1 to 90 day lookback window
- MCP server works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and VS Code
- Counts AI crawlers server-side, split into assistants, search and training
- One first-party cookie by default, or a cookieless mode per project
- Free plan covers 100,000 events a month with unlimited projects and team members

### How much does Spreelytics cost?

Freemium. The free plan includes 100,000 events a month with unlimited projects, team members and dashboards, and keeps 13 months of data. The Growth plan adds session replay and the in-app AI assistant and keeps data for five years. Growth prices are on the pricing page and not stated in the source.

## Umami

> Cookie-free web and product analytics, self-hosted or cloud

Umami is an open-source web and product analytics platform that reports traffic, behavior, conversion, retention and revenue without cookies. It can be self-hosted or used as the hosted Umami Cloud service.

### What is Umami?

A tracker script collects pageviews as soon as it is installed. The dashboard shows pageviews, visitors, bounce rate and average visit time, with filters by country and device, date range comparison, and automatic UTM tracking. Custom events can be added with a data-umami-event attribute or umami.track(), and carry properties such as plan or order value.

Reports cover funnels, goals, journeys (sequences of three to seven steps), retention by first-visit day, attribution and revenue tied to events. Segments and cohorts can be saved and applied as filters. Session replay and heatmaps use a separate recorder script, with form inputs masked by default. Visitors are identified by an anonymous session ID unless umami.identify() is used to link a logged-in user's sessions. An MCP server lets AI assistants query the reports with read-only access.

### Who is Umami for?

Suited to product, growth and engineering teams, and to site owners who want traffic and product analytics in one tool without a cookie banner. Teams that want to run their own infrastructure can self-host. Session replay and heatmaps on Cloud require a Business plan or above.

### Highlights

- No cookies and no personal data collected by default
- Funnels, goals, journeys, retention, segments and cohorts
- Session replay and heatmaps on Business and Enterprise Cloud plans
- Official read-only MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor
- Self-host the open-source platform or use Umami Cloud
- Custom events via a data attribute or umami.track()

### How much does Umami cost?

Freemium. Umami Cloud has a Hobby plan at $0 per month (100K events, 1 website), Pro at $20 per month and Business at $200 per month, both with a 14-day free trial. Enterprise pricing is custom. The open-source version can be self-hosted.

## Google Analytics

> Free web and app analytics from Google, built around events

Google Analytics is Google's analytics service for websites and apps. It records visits and user actions as events and turns them into reports on where visitors come from, what they do and which actions lead to sales or sign-ups.

### What is Google Analytics?

A tracking tag on the site, or the Firebase SDK in a mobile app, sends page views, clicks, scrolls and custom events to a Google Analytics property. Reports then cover acquisition (which channels and campaigns bring users), engagement (pages, screens and events), monetization and retention. Site owners mark the actions that matter as key events to measure conversions.

Explorations let users build funnels, paths and segment comparisons beyond the standard reports. Audiences built from this data can be shared with Google Ads for remarketing, and the service links with Search Console and other Google marketing products. Raw event data can be exported to BigQuery. Consent mode adjusts tracking based on whether visitors accept cookies.

### Who is Google Analytics for?

Website owners, marketers and product teams who want detailed traffic and conversion data at no cost, especially those already running Google Ads or other Google marketing tools. Teams that need cookieless tracking or full data ownership often look at privacy-focused alternatives instead.

### Highlights

- Free for most sites and apps
- Web and app data in one property through the Firebase SDK
- Key events to track conversions and sign-ups
- Funnel, path and segment explorations
- Audience sharing with Google Ads
- Raw event export to BigQuery

### How much does Google Analytics cost?

Freemium. Google Analytics is free. Google Analytics 360, the enterprise version with higher limits and support, is sold through Google with prices on request.
