Privacy
This page explains what Another Directory (another.directory) collects and why. Data isn't sold and isn't used for advertising. The site is run by its operator, based in Poland, who is the data controller for everything described here. Contact: [email protected].
What is collected
- Account: email address, a hashed password (or your Google account ID if you log in with Google), and how many automatic drafts your account used each day.
- Listings and ads: what you submit or edit (text, links, logos, images), the results of badge and uptime checks, and view and click counts.
- Payments: what you bought and Stripe's references. Card details, billing address and tax ID are handled by Stripe.
- Visitors: anonymous page view statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites, view and click counts per listing, and your IP address, used briefly to block abuse and kept in server logs for a short time.
Why
To run your account, listings, ads and the emails about them (contract), to keep the site secure and working and to count views and clicks (legitimate interests), and to keep payment records (legal obligation).
Cookies
Only the ones needed to work: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, a "remember me" cookie if you choose it, a short-lived cookie during Google login, and Cloudflare Turnstile's bot check on the sign-up and password forms. Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser only. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Who processes it
- Hetzner: server and database
- Tigris: storage for logos and images
- Stripe: payments, invoices and subscriptions
- Postmark: email
- Anthropic: drafts listing text from the public pages of the site you submit
- Google: login, only if you choose it
- Cloudflare: bot checks on forms
- Cloudflare: anonymous page view statistics
- A partner site that lists Pro and Boost tools: receives their public details
- Search engines (IndexNow): told the public address of new or changed pages
Some of them may process data outside your country; they use the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long
Until you delete your account or a listing. Drafts untouched for 90 days and never paid for, and ads left unpaid for a day, are deleted automatically. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires; server logs for a short time.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all its data yourself in Settings. You can also ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or that a use of it stops, by writing to [email protected], and complain to a data protection authority: in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl), elsewhere in the EU the authority of the country where you live. The site isn't meant for anyone under 16.
