Riff is a Chrome extension that writes replies to posts and DMs on X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram from a short point the user supplies. It also drafts new posts and first messages, using Gemini Nano on the user's own computer.
What is Riff?
Riff sits in Chrome's side panel, opened from the toolbar or with Alt+Shift+R. The user clicks a wave button next to a post's Reply or Comment button, or clicks into a chat box. Riff reads the post and its context, or the whole conversation. The user pastes a rough point, which Riff rewrites rather than copies word for word. In a DM the point can be left empty and Riff answers what the other person wrote.
Dials set how smart, how salesy and how adventurous the reply is. The text streams in, sized to the site's character limit. Buttons rework it as Shorter, Punchier, Softer pitch, Bolder, More human or add a question. Riff then fills the reply or message box, and the user sends it. For new posts, Riff takes rough notes, offers hook options, and accepts plain-language change requests. It runs on Gemini Nano, the AI built into Chrome.
Who is Riff for?
Suits founders, marketers and consultants who reply to many posts and DMs on X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram and want drafts that follow their own point. It fits people who want to review and send each message themselves. It is Chrome-only and relies on Gemini Nano.
