Placid is a creative automation tool that fills design templates with data to produce images, PDFs and videos. Marketers and developers run it through an API, nocode integrations or a web app.
What is Placid?
Placid starts with a template built in its drag and drop editor, or from a preset design. Layers in the template are dynamic, so text, images and video can be replaced with structured data. Each run produces a consistent variation of the same design.
Templates can be filled through a URL API or REST API for images, PDFs and videos. Nocode routes include Airtable, Make, n8n, Zapier, Webflow, WordPress, Ghost and ChatGPT. An MCP connection lets AI agents use templates, and an Editor SDK embeds the editor in other apps. Studio offers shareable forms for generating visuals on demand. Previews are free and watermarked, so automations can be tested without spending credits.
Who is Placid for?
Suited to marketers, developers and product teams that need many variations of the same visual, such as social images, Open Graph images, ad creatives, certificates or localized graphics. Developers can call the APIs, while non-coders can use the integrations or Studio. It is less relevant for one-off, hand-crafted design work.
